Admin: Store Settings

Where settings live

/admin/settings shows one text field per setting key. Edit any values and press Save Settings — every change takes effect immediately: the very next page render (header ETA, cart drawer bill, checkout) uses the new values. No restart, no cache to clear (a normal browser refresh is enough if a page looks stale).

Important: money values are in paise, not rupees. ₹1 = 100 paise, so ₹25 is entered as 2500. Getting this wrong by a factor of 100 is the classic mistake — double-check the storefront bill after saving.

Every setting key

KeyUnitDefaultEffect
store_nametextQuickKartThe store's display name, used where the store identifies itself.
delivery_promisetextwithin 24 hoursThe delivery promise shown everywhere: the header ("Delivery within 24 hours"), product pages, the cart drawer and checkout. Items in one order may still arrive on different dates — each order item is marked delivered individually.
delivery_badgetext24 HRSThe short delivery chip shown on product cards ("⏱ 24 HRS").
delivery_fee_paisepaise2500 (= ₹25)The delivery charge added to the bill when the items subtotal is below the free-delivery threshold.
free_delivery_above_paisepaise19900 (= ₹199)Carts with an items subtotal at or above this get delivery FREE (the drawer shows the struck-through fee).
handling_fee_paisepaise200 (= ₹2)A flat handling charge added to every order regardless of size.
store_addresstext527, Tilak Nagar, Bawadiya Kalan, BhopalThe store's registered address, printed on invoices. The storefront header shows the customer's own saved delivery address instead.

How fees behave

  • The bill everywhere (drawer, /cart, checkout) is: items total + delivery charge + handling charge = grand total.
  • Delivery is waived when items total ≥ free_delivery_above_paise; the customer sees the original fee struck through with a FREE label.
  • Placed orders are snapshots: an order stores the fees it was charged at checkout time. Changing settings never rewrites existing orders — only new carts pick up the new numbers.
  • Set delivery_fee_paise to 0 to run a free-delivery promotion for everyone.
